What just happened to me?

Open WOD 16.2Choosing RXd or Scaled: different people will have different opinions on this. Different gyms/coaches will advise their athletes to “Game” this in different ways. Here’s my suggestion: if up to 3-2-1-GO you have ever gotten a toes to bar AND a double under, them do your best and go RXd, if you have never been able to do both of them, go scaled.

If you go RXd and get 3 toes to bar in 4 minutes, let that be your score. Then when the next heat goes, do the workout scaled and see how well you could do scaled.

The reasoning is because our members who may get a few reps RXd would benefit much more as athletes accomplishing toes to bar or double unders for the first time ever than skipping it out of fear.

Let’s have fun with this one!

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 4, 8, 12, 16 or 20 minutes of:

  • 25 toes-to-bars
  • 50 double-unders
  • 15 squat cleans*

Begin with a 4 minute time cap. If 1 round is completed in under 4 minutes extend time to 8 minutes. If 2 rounds are completed in under 8 minutes extend time to 12 minutes. Etc., adding 4 minutes per round completed for up to 20 minutes.
