CrossFit Makes you Better
CrossFit, the whole thing – Nutrition and exercise makes you better. We believe that CrossFit makes you better. Greg Glassman, the founder of CrossFit, says it best name the thing that you want to be better at – exercise effectively and eat well (basically do CrossFit as it’s meant to be done) and you will be better. The discipline that you gain, the strength of you develop, and the confidence that grows will make you better.
CrossFit developed the definition of FITNESS (https://journal.crossfit.com/article/what-is-fitness). The first person to define what fitness is and not as an expression of exercise as someone who is fit but that fitness is the opposite of sickness.
In the article, What is Fitness? Greg Glassman has outlined the sickness wellness fitness continuum the opposite of sickness is fitness.
“Nutrition plays a critical role in your fitness. Proper nutrition can amplify or diminish the effect of your training efforts. Effective nutrition is moderate in protein, carbohydrate and fat. Forget about the fad high-carbohydrate, low-fat and low-protein diet. Balanced macronutrient and healthy nutrition looks more like 40 percent carbohydrate, 30 percent protein and 30 percent fat.”
